Dabbling in DIY
We will have 5 days of DIY crafting activities, all with take-aways:
- Candy making
- Knitting
- Soap making
- Card making
- Polymer Clay
- Charm making
- Craft TBD by consensus (candle-making, beaded jewelry making, quilling, quilting, book-making, sewing…)
April 1: Day of mely & pour with soap making in the morning; candy making in the afternoon
April 2: Field trip to Ben Franlklin Crafts – knitting (9:30 – 11:30 am); card making (12:15 – 2:30); lunch at Uba’s Mexican restaurant
April 3: Create polymer clay charms; Decide on additional craft
April 4: Jewelry making; incorporate polymer charms; additional craft
April 5: Display completed projects for on-campus groups to view
- Students must be willing to try new experiences.
- Students must contribute to group efforts and needs.
- Cooperation, consideration of others and a helpful attitude are a must.
- The daily schedule will vary; parent flexibility is needed in regard to departure and pick-up times.
- Parents need to transport students to Metro park and ride sites.
