We will be working with Farmer Frog group.  We will have two different project opportunities during the week.  We will make garden art for a pea patch garden that is located at Olivia Park Elementary for 6 pillars, each with a different theme.  Possibly using the grade schools students art work.  Next we will build raised garden beds out of wood shipping pallets for a farm in Bellevue in the Lake Hills neighborhood.  We may have other art and building projects during the week for the gardens too.  This will give students the chance to design and build both projects while working in small groups.  Students will have the opportunity to have hands on experience working with Farmer Frog.  Farmer Frog is an organization who practices year-round intense urban and small scale agriculture farming.  These growing techniques help to restore urban ecosystems, revive underserved neighborhoods with sound food producing farms and gardens for low income members of the community.  On the last day we will try have a lunch that is farm to table prepared either at a restaurant or as a picnic.
