As baseball players at Overlake, we have the opportunity to play at great facilities with plenty of resources.  Every other year, we seek a week-long opportunity as a team to give back through service to underserved populations, as well as to find an opportunity to play baseball against teams far from home in a new environment.

This year we will partner with the Good Tidings Foundation, a 501-(c)-3 children’s charity in the Bay Area.  Good Tidings Foundation (http://www.goodtidings.org) partners with professional sports franchises in the area to build or refurbish facilities that benefit underserved communities.  Our service project will be the rebuilding of two community fields in Stockton, CA.  Work would include removing and replacing the present dirt infields, overseeding the outfields, painting and repairing the dugouts and backstop, etc.  We will also take the opportunity to play 3-4 baseball games against teams from the Central Valley area.
