Letterpress Printing

The ancient art and craft of letterpress printing is very popular in the graphic arts and book arts communities. This project will involve students in the designing and printing of a broadside/book in three colors. Students will learn to set type, mix ink, pull prints, and distribute type. On the last day students will experiment with the various effects of handprinting.
