Athletics and Community

This project week will examine the business and ethics of sports.  We will learn about the different variables that go into sports management and reflect upon their broader role in society.  We will also learn about and discuss some of the broader ethical issues in athletics, such as the role and responsibility of celebrity athletes, the role that teams and star athletes play in their communities, and the way in which sports can effect positive change in the world around them.  We will meet with different people on the business side of sports while also visiting non-profit organizations that use athletics to cultivate leadership skills within their communities.
