Get ready for a physical challenge...do you want to overcome obstacles? Parkour involves using your own body to creatively move through space to reach, climb, jump and balance.

Warm-up and learn parkour skills at-home, then explore your parks/backyard to practice skills discussed during the our morning and afternoon video chats.

Students will need an open space in their home approx. 5'x5' to move around in, that has internet connection for the video chat, a device to record themselves during parkour (i.e a smartphone, and a way to prop up the smartphone to film themselves (leaning it against a water bottle usually works fine if they don't have a selfie stick!)), weather-appropriate clothing (parkour happens rain or shine, bring layers, and wear a raincoat!), and a space with interesting obstacles nearby (ie. a playground, or handicap railing, or cement blocks to practice vaulting, balance, and jumping.)

On-Campus Possible

Conditions permitting this project will be on campus for one day.  In the event we are on campus, participants should be willing and able to attend in order to receive credit.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact Joey Pauley, Project Week Director, at jpauley@overlake.org
