The power is back at Overlake and campus will open at 3:00 p.m. We are in the process of getting the buildings back online with heat and will be ready for the evening performance of Annie Jr. in Fulton Performing Arts Center, and for Robotics Sunday in the gym. This afternoon the US basketball teams and cast of Annie Jr. will be on campus practicing and rehearsing beginning at 3:00 p.m. Arts faculty and athletics coaches will reach out directly to the cast/crew/teams with details. Eighth-grade science is the final course in the middle school program. It emphasizes scientific inquiry and experimentation while helping students develop their academic skills and Science Practices. Eighth-grade science concentrates on the study of physics by investigating the concepts of motion, Newton's Laws, work, energy, and power, fluid statics and buoyancy, and sound and light wave phenomena.
