Test of Emergency Notification System Sept 12 around 10:00am

With winter weather right around the corner and the chance for slippery roads and power outages possible, we will be testing our emergency notification system on Thursday, Sept 12 around 10:00am.

During this time, you will receive an email, text, and phone message indicating a test of our system. This system will then be used throughout the school year to notify families about school closures due to a variety of emergencies, including inclement weather.

Prior to Thursday’s test, go to your Veracross portal and please check all your contact information. 

In addition to this notification, you may also sign up for a flash alert by clicking on the snowflake icon at the bottom of your MyOverlake page. The flash alert system is a third-party service that we subscribe to in order for The Overlake School to be shown at the bottom of television screens, along with other schools, during major weather events.
