Kickball Tournament to Kick Cancer - May 18
Overlake's US ASB is partnering with RACE, Live Loud Charities, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center to host a KICK CANCER kickball tournament at The Overlake School on Saturday, May 18 from 9-2. All students 13 and over, parents, families, and friends are invited to join the tournament and enjoy an old fashioned kickball competition. Every team is guaranteed two games.
Participants will receive t-shirts, stickers, medals, food, and plenty of action. The mission of RACE and Live Loud is to support research at Fred Hutch to develop early detection tests for cancer. Imagine a simple blood test to detect colon cancer!
All proceeds from this tournament will go directly to the charities. Find out how to register, sponsor a team, donate, and learn more about their mission at http://www.kickcancertournament.org/
If you’d like to volunteer or umpire please email Kerri Hunt at KHunt@overlake.org. Umpires only need to know the differences between fair and foul play, and between a force out and a tag out.
