Middle School Bookclub Discusses Cinder

The Middle School bookclub had a lively discussion about local author Marissa Meyer's bestselling science fiction reinterpretation of Cinderella: Cinder, first of Meyer's wildly popular Lunar Chronicles series. In a future dystopian Earth, Cinder is a cyborg at a time when Earth is threatened both at home, with a deadly plague, and from the mysteriously powerful people of the Moon--the Lunars. Over the last few months, all of Meyers' titles have been checked out and put on hold continuously as word of mouth spread about them. Many thanks go to the students who chose and read the book, and to Kerri Hunt and Andrea Maddox for taking over the meeting at the last minute when Rebecca Moore had to go home sick yesterday.
