5th Grade Battle of the Books Winners!

Congratulations to Gold Team 1 for winning the 5th grade Battle of the Books today! All fifth graders participated, and it was a heated battle, with the final round between Gold Team 1 and Gold Team 3.

Battle of the Books is a combination reading contest and game show, with students reading at least three titles (of their choice) from a set list of ten, half of which were chosen by students. Each question asks "In which book..." and the answer is always the title and author. As in: "In which book does a main character plug the cord of a circular saw into the flank of a horse?" (Answer below).

Many thanks go to the 5th grade teachers who give class time and energy to make the Battle happen. I couldn't do it without their support!
