Olivia Gerami - Class of 2003
A love of music, writing, and magazines are what professional photographer Olivia Gerami (’03) credits as the seeds of her career in photography and journalism. After spending her school years between New Zealand and Seattle, Olivia majors in Journalism and Ethnomusicology at the University of Washington. From there, she found her way into the entertainment industry at a local production studio that created educational programming for kids. She then spent a decade-long stint producing projects for Xbox, Paramount, Comedy Central, and MTV.
It wasn’t until moving to “Jackson Hole that photography came back into focus” notes Oliva where she eventually returned to school for photography through UCLA Extension. Now based in LA with her own successful photography business – Olivia Gerami Photography – which focuses on in studio and on location portraiture, Olivia is thrilled to have photography be a part of her daily life. Olivia currently lives with her husband, daughter, and German Shepard in LA, happily viewing life through her camera’s lens.
