Mollie Fadule - Class of 2000
Owner and CFO/CIO of a multifamily development and construction company, Mollie Fadule (’00) has dedicated her career toward housing. Though “I started my career in investment banking and private equity where I developed a deep understanding of finance and capital markets at a high level, as I gained more exposure to real estate, I saw an opportunity to address larger issues like the lack of affordable housing,” shares Mollie. Leveraging her financial background on Wall Street to make a tangible impact on the Nation’s housing crisis, Mollie transitioned her banking career to real estate development. Today, as Chief Financial and Investment Officer at JPI, Mollie helps lead the development of multifamily housing projects and building sustainable communities that focus on raising the standard of living while keeping costs manageable.
Mollie also serves on the board of Pallet Shelter, an Everett-based company working to end homelessness through transitional shelter villages that provide individuals experiencing homelessness dignified, safe shelter and the stability needed to rebuild their lives. “Addressing homelessness is something I’m deeply passionate about because housing is fundamental to a person’s stability and success” shares Mollie. Amongst other board seats, Mollie also serves on the board of Urban Housing Ventures, an organization that works to develop long-term affordable housing solutions, work that speaks to Mollie’s belief in supporting the wider community through action, values she developed during her time at Overlake. “I encourage students and Alumni to get involved in service projects like Outreach Club’s drives or to consider volunteering with organizations like Pallet Shelter,” shares Mollie, noting that “small contributions – whether it’s running a food drive or volunteering your time – can make a significant impact in someone’s life and help address this pressing issue.” Even Mollie’s downtime is often spent “engaging in community activities” which she considers as “key to keeping my work purposeful.”
While at Overlake, Mollie built confidence and resilience through athletics, academics, and interpersonal relationships, particularly impactful were those bonds formed with faculty mentors and advisors. “Overlake created an environment where I felt empowered to aim high and the lessons I learned there continue to guide me in my work today, especially when I’m leading teams or taking on new challenges.”
