Concrete begins to pour at construction site
Concrete is now being poured to create the foundation for the new Student & Community Center! In total, 155 cubic yards of structural concrete for both the interior and exterior footings was poured today from 16 concrete trucks. The largest footing, designed to support the 16-foot-tall exterior concrete walls on the east side of the building, measures 2 feet deep and 13 feet wide!
With the footings now complete, the concrete stem walls for the exterior of the building are next. This is the phase where the structure truly starts to take shape.
