Breaking ground for the new Student & Community Center

Breaking ground

A rainy morning in July brought swift action as the demolition of the front office, north annex, and health center paved the way for Overlake's latest construction project- The Student & Community Center. In two short hours, a backhoe was able to knock down the three buildings, which were the oldest buildings on campus.

Construction of the new center is expected to take most of this school year, with staff moving into the new building over the summer in time for the 2025-26 school year.

To see progress in real-time, click on the construction cam where you can see a timelapse of the construction underway.
