Summer Fun Reading 2023!
“A book, too, can be a star, a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe.” —Madeleine L’Engle
It's summer (almost)! We at the Library wish you a summer full of fun, relaxation, and reading adventures. To that end, we've put together lists of summer pleasure-reading suggestions for Middle School (grades 5-7), Crossover (grades 7-10), and Upper School/Adult (grades 9-12+). The Middle School and Crossover list are divided into genres, graphic novels, and, new this year, podcasts! The Upper School/Adult list is divided into Fiction, Nonfiction, and Graphica.
Of course, you can also always access our general Reading Recommendations page for even more suggestions, and our eBooks through Sora/Overdrive are available to you 24/7. How-to information here. (Check out our spring Sora eBook promotional video!)
“The writer’s words on the page create structure, character, and voice—but there are gaps, the dark matter, the unknown, and the not written. It is the reader who fills this gap. …Writer and reader have joined together to make the writing whole.” –Avi, Newbery acceptance speech
