Book Stacking 2021!

The Book Stacking Contest made its triumphant return this year, with students lining up for the opportunity to see how fast they could stack two boxes worth of discarded books. Students could work in teams or alone, and their favorite part of the activity is when they get to knock the stack down! Many thanks to Ms. Vikstrom-Hoyt and Ms. Essex for helping with the timing.

Fastest Builders: Teams

• 1st place: Laya, Yeriel & Sammie, 8th: in different pairings—16 seconds, 18 seconds, 19 seconds—9 points
• 2nd place: Laya & Sarina, 8th, and Jack & Ender, 6th—20 seconds, 7 points
• 3rd place: Ender & Jack, 6th, and Piper & Kristin, 6th—20 seconds, 4 points

Fastest Builders: Individuals

• 1st place: Christopher, 6th—33 and 37 seconds, 9 points
• 2nd place: Kevin 6th, and Richard 7th—41 seconds each, 6 points
• 3rd place: Zachary P.—42 seconds, 4 points
