Summer Memories

One of the goals of the faculty/staff trip to China was to learn about China’s educational system. We traveled to Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing where we toured universities, high schools and cultural sites. As with most trips, the highlights were the people we met and the moments that are universal. In Shanghai, we met up with Icing Song, 2006-2007 Overlake Assist exchange student, and she guided us around her city. In a college in Shanghai, I saw a detailed poster on how to write a bibliographic citation. The poster was very reminiscent of what we do, on a smart board , at Overlake to teach the very same thing. It was an incredible trip!
